Online blackjack game can be played as long as a player wants. You can think over the implications before playing your next move by simply slowing down the pace of online blackjack game. In the normal cases, most gamblers play with their instincts and that way they tend to play the same moves every time they see similar cards. However, there is no such fixed rule in Blackjack and you can understand the various implications of game variations by playing differently at online blackjack. At an online casino you can either play for real money or use fun chips in your online blackjack. Game strategies and game odds of online blackjack are mostly the same as in a land casino. However, most players do away with all game strategies or odds while playing online blackjack with fun chips.
Fundamental game rules of Blackjack are the same at every casino, although most online casinos offer a few minor changes in the game rules. Whatever we have listed here is the basic rule and it can be used in some form to understand the basic blackjack game at any online casino. Casinos use around one to eight card decks for Blackjack games. Cards from two to 10 hold their face values. Face cards - Jack, King, and Queen have a value of ten. Ace can have a value of 1 or 11 depending on the game’s current situations.
Game begins when players place their bet amounts and dealer deals two cards each to every player. Both of the cards of players are faced up while one of dealer's cards is faced down. The faced down card is the hole card. To score a higher card total than the dealer but without going over total of 21 is the way to win the game. If first two cards total 21 with a 10 and an Ace (11), you have a blackjack and therefore, you win 1.5 times your initial bet amount. However, if card total exceeds 21, you bust and dealer wins irrespective of his card total.
Hit means to ask for another card, stand is to end your turn by holding to your card total, doubling is twice your original bet but you receive only one more card, splitting is breaking a pair of cards into two hands and doubling your bet and surrender refers to forfeiting half of your bet after seeing your cards. The following modules will explain the basic rules while playing a game of online blackjack -
1. Dealer hits until the card total is 17 or higher.
2. You can double or split only on the first move. It is also possible on the first move of a hand formed by a split. You cannot play on two aces after splitting them.
3. Every split hand is the same as a new hand and you can double on a hand from a split and increase your bet accordingly.
4. Three or more cards totaling 21 are not a blackjack. House wins if both dealer and player bust.
6. Bets should return to players if both dealer and player have the same cards or hand. This is called a ‘push’ here.
7. Doubling could bring double gains if you win and double your losses if you lose.
8. An ace can be a hard hand or a soft hand one. Hard hand Ace has a value of one. Soft hand has a value of 11. If you receive an Ace during the game and your card total could be higher than 21 if value of Ace is 11, then you assign the value of Ace as 11. Otherwise, it is one.
9. If the dealer receives a 10 or an Ace, he immediately checks his cards for a blackjack. If it is a blackjack, house wins all the bet amounts.
10. Normally, dealer stands on 17 and above.
11. Insurance is not very common in blackjack. Insurance means you bet that the dealer has a blackjack and hence, you are safeguarding your interests or bet amounts. If the dealer has an Ace, you can purchase insurance. If the dealer has a blackjack, you receive payouts at 2:1 through insurance, and if the dealer does not have any blackjack, you lose your insurance money.
As you see, online blackjack rules are very simple: Ace is considered 1 or 11, court cards are all 10 and all the rest are their face value. The score is calculated by simply summing up the score of all cards that you have at hand.
